Mask Monday’s Chit Chat: Protect Your Energy

Hey loves! Welcome back to this week’s Mask Monday’s Chit Chat.

Protecting your energy should always be a priority. Love yourself, protect yourself and nourish your body, mind and soul.


Whether you call it energy, vibes or spirits – make sure to protect it.

Trust your intuition when something or someone doesn’t feel right. It’s your energy letting you know to stay away or to be cautious.

Bad energy from something or someone can drain you mentally, physically, spiritually and/or emotionally.

Allowing bad energy to absorb you is toxic which will eventually cause a negative spiraling effect. Always be cautious on what energy you allow around you.

Think about it for a second… Have you ever spent time with someone and realized how tensed/stressed you are after the visit? Well you probably just absorbed their negative energy.

Try to stay away from people who only offer negativity by always complaining about their problems, speaking negative about others, criticizing others, those looking for pity, etc.

Spending time with negative people is the easiest way to absorb the wrong energy. There’s a saying my dad would tell me all the time in Spanish:

Dime con quién andas, y te diré quién eres.

My best English translation of this is, tell me who you spend time with and I’ll tell you who you are. It’s basically explaining that you are, who you surround yourself with.

Besides outside negative energy, there’s also inner negative energy you want to avoid. Negative, envious and/or self-sabotaging thoughts are also ways you create negative energy for yourself.

Think about this for a second… Have you ever gone through a hardship and repeatedly think about it after the fact? Well you probably just created a negative aroma for yourself.

For hardships, especially those out of your control, try your hardest to acknowledge the situation, learn from it but move on. Dwelling on it won’t change the outcome or erase the hardship. You want to redirect your thoughts to focus on the positive ones so you’re able to create that aroma around you.

I’m a strong believer of the law of attraction. If you want to attract a positive aroma than you have to surround yourself with positivity both physically and mentally. If you surround yourself with negativity, you’ll get just that.

Remember – your body, mind and soul is your personal temple and you need to take care of it.

  3. Love this post! I love taking care of myself and always surrounding myself with good vibes and positive energy. It really has helped improve my life so much more than I thought was possible. Life is way too short to live unhappily surrounded by negativity and bad vibes.
